About Melinda

Dr. Story grew up in Fort Collins riding and showing in 4-H and eventing. She received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. During veterinary school, Mindy enjoyed research activities in Ithaca, NY and Sydney, Australia. After an internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky and surgical residency at Kansas State University, she returned to Colorado and worked in a private equine referral hospital as a staff surgeon for nine years. In 2013 Dr. Story returned to CSU and joined the equine sports medicine team. Dr. Story is board certified in surgery as well as in equine sports medicine and rehabilitation with a clinical and research focus in axial skeleton dysfunction and chronic pain.
