Event Speaker: Danni Scott is a second-year veterinary student and is very passionate about protecting our planet. She has a bachelor’s degree in zoology and earned her master’s in environmental science and management, both from UC Santa Barbara. In between her studies, she researched the northbound gray whale migration, performed marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation and conducted coral reef research and restoration in the Dominican Republic. Witnessing first-hand the impact of plastic on marine life inspired a plastic-free lifestyle.
Event Description: This talk will discuss the hazards of plastic pollution, as well as provide easy to implement tips and tricks to reduce individual’s dependence on plastic, especially single use. Come celebrate our planet on Earth Day and learn how to reduce your impact!
