Founded by Dr. A. Simon Turner, a leading authority in large animal surgery, the Surgical Research Laboratory is internationally recognized as a pioneer of preclinical study of biomedical products and implants.

Our Good Laboratory Practice compliant facility, housed by the Colorado State University Translational Medicine Institute, is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care.

Specializing in in vivo preclinical research, the Surgical Research Laboratory partners with the university's Orthopaedic Bioengineering Research Laboratory, which offers ex vivo services. Together, the laboratories provide comprehensive preclinical research services to clients.
