Cara Dickson

Cara is originally from the East Coast and has found her home in Colorado. She has participated in emergency medicine for the majority of her career and enjoys furthering that passion at CSU. Her first experience with veterinary medicine was about 20 years ago volunteering with an oil spill team, working closely with wildlife veterinarians in a wildlife avian rehabilitation center in Delaware. She loves being able to work within a team-driven environment, among people who also love animals.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Cara prefers spending time with her husband, Chris, and their three children. They love to go on adventures together, play video games, read, and work on projects in their down time. They also have three cats, a dog, and a hamster.
