About Caroline

Dr. Kern-Allely is a resident veterinarian in preventive medicine, concurrently pursuing a Ph.D. in epidemiology. She received her DVM degree from Colorado State University in 2024. Her interest is in environmental hazards impacting animal health, through the lens of climate change. Her doctoral research focuses on the impact of air pollution on animal health, including the effects of wildfire smoke on production animals along the Front Range. Her residency focuses on sustainability in veterinary medicine, community resilience, and the role of veterinarians in wildlife health and biodiversity.
