Dr. Rodriguez is an Instructor for the Microbiology-Immunology M.S. program at CSU. Dr. Rodriguez is an expert on the molecular physiology and metabolism of nitrifying bacteria and archaea, with an emphasis on studying these microbial populations in agricultural soils. He is excited about applying his skills in bioinformatics to other microbial systems to elucidate host-pathogen interactions and modulation. Dr. Rodriguez is passionate about online graduate education and is working with various faculty and staff to improve and develop rigorous courses that will prepare the next generation of Microbiologists to meet the ever-evolving challenges of our modern era.
