About Molly

After receiving her DVM from the University of Illinois Veterinary College, Molly enjoyed practice for several years at a small animal hospital and worked with may inspiring patients. She also spent three years as a Peace Corps public health volunteer among the incredible Amazigh people in a Moroccan village nestled in between the Sahara and High Atlas Mountains. All of these experiences motivated her into join the Veterinary Microbiology Residency/PhD program at Colorado State University. Currently Molly is living the best years of her life as a graduate student in the Mayo Research Laboratory. She is investigating bluetongue virus evolution in the Culicoides biting midge. When she is not hanging with the midges, Molly is learning new molecular techniques or rocking it old school with plaque assays. Pronouns: she/her
