Currently working on multiple research projects focused on glycolipid biosynthesis and the immunomodulatory properties of complex mycobacterial glycans. Extensive experience investigating covalent modifications of cell wall components such as arabinogalactan (AG) and lipoarabinomannan (LAM), and their roles in modulating immune responses during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Also explored the impact of naturally occurring mutations in polysaccharide biosynthetic genes in Mycobacterium abscessus, uncovering novel mechanisms of host adaptation.
