Leo Tyer

Leo graduated from Hampshire College in 2018 with a B.A. focus in Biomedical Sciences and minor focus in Medical Anthropology. Leo joined the lab of Dr. Glenn Telling in 2023 as a PhD student in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology. They study the molecular mechanisms governing prion transmission and replication, as well as characteristics of the prion protein that give rise to new strain types.
