About Nurudeen

Nurudeen Oketade is a Ph.D. student in the lab of Dr. Karen Dobos. His research is focused on identifying ligands of MHC class 1 related protein (MR1) produced by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and how they interact with MR1 restricted T-cells. He will also investigate the role of novel MR1 ligands in the pathophysiology of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Nurudeen enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and cooking in his spare time.
