Equine reproduction specialist honored for research excellence

Dr. Jenny Sones is the recipient of the 2024 Zoetis Award for Veterinary Research Excellence. Sones, who joined CSU in December 2023, recently received two NIH grants to continue her work studying at-risk pregnancies.

Following a severe fetlock injury sustained during an emergency evacuation related to the Alexander Mountain Fire, Hawke, a seven-year-old horse, received two months of care at CSU’s Johnson Family Equine Hospital.
