About Jeffrey

Dr. Wilusz is Professor of RNA Biology and Virology, as well as a faculty member of the CSU Medical Branch of the CU School of Medicine. Dr. Wilusz’s laboratory channels his unique expertise in RNA biology to decipher how RNA viruses interface with cellular post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms during infection. These studies on viral RNA interactions with processes like RNA stability, RNA splicing, RNA modification and translation will to lead to insights into novel aspects of viral biology, pathogenesis and novel avenues for the development of antivirals.
