Ashley is a first-year PhD student with the MIP department. Before beginning graduate school, she worked at the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC), where she studied combat wound-associated bacterial pathogens, biofilm formation, and antimicrobial resistance. Her work contributed to infection prevention and wound-healing initiatives. At CSU, Ashley is interested in host-pathogen interactions, novel therapeutics, microbial pathogenesis, and how bacteria adapt to survive hostile environments.
Outside of the lab, Ashley enjoys true crime podcasts, reading, and exploring new coffee shops.
