About Colin

Dr. Clay is a Reproductive Biologist, Professor, and Executive Associate Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Clay’s research is focused on understanding the molecular and cellular events controlling pituitary production of the gonadotropic hormones LH and FSH. His laboratory has characterized the genetic elements that regulate expression of the GnRH receptor gene, its intracellular signaling and the mechanisms underlying hormonal regulation of pituitary responsiveness to GnRH. In collaboration with Dr. Terry Nett, they defined the molecular mechanisms underlying hormonal responsiveness of the GnRH receptor gene.
