New approaches to treating feline infectious peritonitis
In this study, we are evaluating new antiviral medications for the treatment of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) in cats. Cats with “wet” or “effusive” FIP will be treated with Paxlovid. Cats enrolled in this trial will need a diagnosis of FIP and need to come to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) for evaluation and recheck appointments every two to four weeks for 16 weeks. The costs associated with recheck lab work, examinations at the VTH, and the Paxlovid are covered by the study.
