Feline Hyperglycemia Study
Using a continuous glucose monitor we hope to determine if cats who present as hyperglycemic (have a high blood glucose level) but not glucosuric (have glucose in the urine) at a veterinary appointment might actually remain hyperglycemic at home. This would be an important step in characterizing a “pre-diabetic” state in cats and hopefully lead to identification of early interventions to prevent development of diabetes.

Healthy cats who are found to be hyperglycemic (have high blood glucose) at a routine veterinary appointment but who are not diabetic.
