About Bethany

Professional portrait of Bethany LiebigBethany grew up on a small dairy farm in Upstate New York and received a BS in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2012. She moved to Colorado to complete a one-year equine breeding management internship at the CSU Equine Reproduction Laboratory and then managed a dairy farm in Bellvue, Colorado before returning to academia. In 2016, Bethany received a MS in Biomedical Science from the Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Laboratory at CSU focusing on early embryo mortality. She is currently a DVM-PhD candidate co-mentored by Drs. Laurie Goodrich and John Kisiday at the Equine Orthopaedic Research Center. Bethany is passionate about applying translational medicine to improve animal and human health. Her current research is focused on characterizing cells for regenerative therapies. In her spare time, Bethany can be found at her CrossFit box, running with her dogs, or at a local brewery with her husband.
