Dr. Alicia Yocom grew up in San Francisco, California where she developed a love for horses at an early age. Dr. Yocom attended California Polytechnic State University, in San Luis Obispo, CA where she studied Animal Science, with a minor in Equine Science. After graduating from Cal Poly, Dr. Yocom attended the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis where she graduated in 2013. Following this, she completed a one year internship at The Piedmont Equine Practice, Inc., in The Plains, VA where she was able to work with many kinds of horses and was exposed to a diverse caseload. In June of 2014, Dr. Yocom joined the Equine Field Service team here at Colorado State University, where she is excited to continue her education. In her free time, Dr. Yocom enjoys exploring the many outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.
