Dr. Kim began her small animal sports medicine and rehabilitation residency with the orthopedic medicine and mobility team in 2019. She received her DVM from Seoul National University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Korea and remained there to complete three years of orthopedic and neurosurgery training (the equivalent of a U.S. surgical residency). After that, she worked as a veterinary orthopedic and neurosurgeon for more than two years, when she then decided she wanted to learn more about non-surgical management of orthopedic diseases. Today, her special interests include gene therapy and mesenchymal stem cell therapy to overcome arthritis. Dr. Kim wants to be the “gait keeper” for companion animals and help beloved pets have the long and happy life they deserve.
