About Natalie
Natalie attended Iowa State University where she earned her B.S. in biology with a minor in emerging infectious diseases. She later completed her M.S. in global health at Duke University where her research focused on malaria. Her master's thesis measured the expression level of the parasitic gene Cyclophilin 19B in Malian children with the normal hemoglobin genotype and the sickle-cell trait hemoglobin genotype. Natalie is excited to be expanding her research background in vector-borne infectious diseases by rotating in virology labs while at CSU.
