About James
James Montavon is an MPH student in Epidemiology. His research interests include communicable disease, zoonotic disease, pandemic preparedness, biosecurity, and infectious disease modeling. He has worked in diverse areas of public health, from mindfulness based stress reduction in at-risk youth to various roles addressing homelessness, as well as a contact tracer and case investigator during the COVID-19 pandemic. In his spare time, James enjoys backpacking, trail running, and cross country skiing, often accompanied by his dog Socks.
