I have worked on expression of West Nile Virus NS5 MTase/RdRp as well as SARS-CoV-2 NSP13 helicase to begin better characterization and understanding of each. The overall goal is to better understand the structure and functionality of the aforementioned proteins in order to form a more complete picture of specific Flavivirus and Coronavirus replication processes. I received my undergraduate degree at University of Colorado Boulder in Biochemistry and my masters at Colorado State University in Microbiology. During my masters, I volunteered in Dr. Geiss’s lab and upon graduation was offered to stay on as a research associate.
