Reed WoydaMicrobiology, Immunology, and Pathology
Reed Woyda is a PhD student mentored by Zaid Abdo and Ade Oladeinde. He was introduced to the Abdo lab after completing a Master's degree at Colorado State University in 2019. His current research interests surround the evolution and propagation of antimicrobial resistance within poultry under antibiotic-free production. Through his research he aims to elucidate factors, either environmental or genetic, which influence the spread, or removal, of antimicrobial resistance within poultry agricultural production. In his spare time he enjoys tinkering with electronics, building furniture, rock-climbing in the Poudre Canyon, backpacking in Colorado's wilderness areas and spending time with his friends and significant other.
