About Philip

Dr. Fox runs the COVID-19 Screening lab out Mark Zabel's Lab and works with the Wastewater testing lab out of Carol Wilusz's Lab. His research has focused on cellular, subcellular and single molecule imaging techniques to study subjects such as ion-channel localization mechanisms, GPCR control of neuronal excitability and transcription and translation mechanisms. Since August 2020 his work has been devoted to molecular assays to detect SARS-CoV-2, and has overseen >150,000 COVID-19 screening tests. Dr. Fox is working to bring new approaches to monitor for viral pathogens in the community.
