About Danara

Danara Flores is currently a graduate student at CSU. She graduated from CSU in 2019 with a bachelor's in microbiology. She became a research associate in Dr. Dobos’s lab, purifying glycolipids from Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other Mycobacterium species. Danara decided to pursue a PhD and joined the Avanzi lab, where she is researching Leprosy. Her project aims to look at drug resistance surveillance networks through comprehensive molecular analyses to determine drug susceptibility profiles and elucidate novel resistance mechanisms in M. leprae.
