About Alyssa
Originally from sunny Fort Myers, Florida and a classically trained ballerina and contemporary dancer, I found myself in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado in 2015 a year after graduating high school. After a life of travel around the United States, (I've seen 28 of the 50 states!) I decided to plant some permanent roots along the Front Range. Veterinary care runs in my veins; Throughout high school I would spend summers with my uncle, Dr. Frank DeFeis, helping him at his various veterinary hospitals in New York City. An animal lover through and through, don't be surprised if I ask to give your animal treats and some pets as we discuss check in paperwork! My hidden talent is the ability to work on cars! As the daughter of a mechanic and retired racer, I was raised in a very automotive friendly household. I rebuilt my first car from the ground up as a fifteen year old and I have dreams of rebuilding and restoring an old American muscle car. (Fastbacks or nothing for me!) It is my goal to enroll as a student and pursue a path in the veterinary field that is more hands on with treatment and care!
