Dr. Rebecca Ruch-Gallie has served as service chief for Community Practice since its inception in 2000. She earned her animal science degree at the University of Illinois (1985) and her DVM (1999) and MS (2002) at CSU. Her focuses are on preventive medicine, animal shelter medicine and underserved population care. Her goal is to help animals and their owners stay healthy, with a good quality of life, for as long as possible. She most enjoys her current position of helping students become the best doctors they can be. The current rescued population in the Ruch-Gallie household includes two cats, Racer X and Schach, and two dogs, a Super mix called Titleist and a border collie/staffordshire terrier mix, Macready. For relaxation, R-G loves to cook, hike and read.
