About Lauren

Dr. Lauren Luedke is from Glenwood Springs, CO and a multi-generational Colorado State University alum. Following vet school, she completed an equine internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital in California, followed by a second internship at Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists on the backstretch of the Belmont in New York. She stayed with Cornell in Ithaca, New York as a resident in large animal surgery, earning her board certification in 2021. Upon completing her surgical training, she stayed on the east coast for 2 years as an associate surgeon at Manor Equine Hospital in Maryland where she worked primarily on racehorses and sport horses. She returned to CSU as an assistant professor in equine surgery and lameness in 2022 where she performs elective soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries; her special interest is in upper airway surgery. Similarly, her research interests involve clinical advancement for the treatment of upper airway and orthopedic diseases in horses.
