About Emily
Emily Layer is a PhD student. She is currently rotating in the Dobos Lab. Her research interests include hierarchical modeling of the microbiome, microbial metagenomics and data analysis, computational modeling of the host immune response to Mycobacterial infection, and functional analysis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Her hobbies include spending time with her three children and her spouse, playing with her two dogs, one cat, and hamster, running, singing in choir, cooking for her family and for families in need in the community, and reading fiction.
