About Casey

Dr. Gries is an assistant professor in both MIP and the University of Colorado School of Medicine Fort Collins Branch on the CSU campus. His teaching and research interests are in bacterial pathogenesis and innate immunity, and his laboratory is focused on the molecular mechanisms of Staphylococcus aureus biofilm-mediated infection development and persistence. The goal of his research is to further our understanding of biofilm formation and associated innate immune responses to developed novel strategies in preventing and treating device-associated S. aureus infections.
