About Kristen

My current projects are performing site-directed mutagenesis of West Nile Virus to study the role of the NS5 guanylytransferase enzyme in replication and assist with characterizing the enzymes catalytic acitivity (both with infectious viruses and with recombinant proteins). Additionally, I am also developing constructs for live-cell imaging of flavivirus RNA replication and protein translation with collaborators at CSU, with the goal of visualizing viral translation and RNA replication in real time.
