About Andrew
I was born in Sweden, raised in Southern California, and lived much of my adult life in the Pacific Northwest. An economics major as an undergraduate, I spent three years in business working as an insurance broker, followed by a year flying light aircraft as a commercial pilot and flight instructor. I became enamored with histology during my post-baccalaureate education, and naturally gravitated toward anatomic pathology upon entering veterinary school at UC Davis. I discovered a passion for research during two summer projects there, and my research interests are in cancer biology and comparative oncology. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the mountains with my dog Robyn and enjoying a local craft beer.
Education
