Sophia StrombergStudent Researcher Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences
Sophia is an undergraduate senior pursuing her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences. Her research interests include nutritional modulation of the gut microbiome for the purposes of disease prevention and health promotion. She is also interested in investigating the immunological/physiological responses to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and serves as the phlebotomist for the Northern Colorado Coronavirus Biobanking effort. Beyond her involvement in Elizabeth Ryan's lab, Sophia serves as the Chief Medical Scribe at Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies. She hopes to attend medical school after college, preferably in her home state of Colorado. In her spare time, Sophia enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling with her family.
