Madeleine SorensenAdministrative Professional Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology
Madeleine is a Research Associate in the Arthropod-Borne Infectious Disease Laboratory. She completed her undergraduate degree in organismal biology and ecology from Colorado College where she researched mosquito species composition in the mountains of Colorado and examined physiological effects of adaptation in Aedes aegypti. As a part of the Foy Lab, she is gaining experience looking at factors driving disease transmission in several mosquito species. She is currently helping graduate students investigate ZIKV outcome based on various transmission routes and biological sex, while also assessing insecticide resistance in an Anopheles colony.
