About Andrea
As a child, Andie wanted to be a veterinarian, archaeologist and flight attendant. Instead, she first became a certified graphic designer after obtaining a degree in geology and English. But she started her veterinary career at the early age of 15 when she worked as a customer care representative and veterinary technician at a small animal general practice. Much of her 27-year veterinary career has been spent as an emergency or internal medicine veterinary nurse. Andie started with the orthopedic medicine and mobility service in 2019 and is excited to be a part of the team. Married with four adult children, Andie and her husband stay busy caring for their 50-some houseplants, 12 chickens, two dogs, three cats, and one ball python. They also plan to add beehives and goats to their small hobby farm. Even with all that responsibility (or maybe because of it!), Andie’s life goals include more travel, as well as volunteer work to help the stray animal population in places like Belize.
