I am a motivated Ph.D. student of the Cell and Molecular Biology program at Colorado State University’s Microbiology, Pathology, and Immunology department. My career aspiration is to contribute to our knowledge base of science to improve human health. My background in molecular biology and biochemistry research experience is exceptionally diverse, from cancer biology, aging, and DNA repair research to neurodegenerative diseases caused by prion protein. Accordingly, I have mastered a long list of biochemical techniques. My research project at Dr.Telling’s lab includes transgenetic investigations of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), its horizontal transmission, and zoonotic potential. My most prominent assets for my future career in R&D are my extensive and diverse research experience, expertise in molecular techniques from more than 12 years involved in research, and my awarded work ethic.
