Maxwell DrummondTemporary (non-student) Hourly Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology
Max began his research career working for two years in Dr. Ramesh Akkina’s research lab studying HIV and humanized mice. As his interest in mucosal immunology and vaccines grew Max transitioned into the Dean lab where he has been for the last two years. After completing his undergraduate degree, Max decided to continue working in the Dean lab because of the passion he had established for researching the lab’s unique probiotic vaccine platform and feline coronaviruses. This passion allowed him to transition into contributing to the research and development of lab’s the SARS-2 vaccine. Max plans to continue his work in the Dean lab and eventually pursue a PhD. When not in the lab, Max loves to play soccer, hike, and slide down the beautiful hills of Colorado on his longboard.
