About Caitlin
Caitlin is a combined DVM-PhD student completing her PhD training in the Hentges lab. Her graduate research investigates the contribution of POMC neurons to the development of activity-based anorexia, a rodent model of anorexia nervosa that mimics aspects of this deadly eating disorder. Caitlin's interest in neuroscience started with wanting to better understand how the human brain works, but has expanded over time to include the nervous systems of companion animals, specifically dogs and cats, as well. Caitlin is originally from Kaneohe, Hawaii. Her hobbies include spoiling her Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers named Chance and Maple, reading, hiking, Crossfit, and yoga.
