Andrew RauPostdoctoral Fellow Biomedical Sciences
Andrew is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Hentges lab. Using whole-cell patch clamp electrophysiology, transgenic mice, molecular biology and behavioral techniques, his research is focused on investigating the neurocircuitry and receptor modifications that contribute to metabolic homeostasis and drug addiction. Andrew grew up in Montana, received and undergraduate degree from Pacific University and a PhD in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Wake Forest University. When not in the lab, Andrew can be found riding mountain bikes, backpacking, attempting to catch fish, following friends down ski slopes, or trying to keep up with his toddler.
