            [ProfileText] => Dr. Cleymaet graduated from University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She then pursued a rotating small animal internship at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, a private practice ophthalmology internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in New York, and an academic ophthalmology internship at CSU. She is currently a Comparative Veterinary Ophthalmology resident as well as a PhD candidate (retinal neuroscience) in the Jozsef Vigh Laboratory in CSU's Department of Biomedical Science. Clinical research interests include refractive error, retinal imaging, and ocular manifestations of systemic disease. Her basic science interests include the effects of opioids on the retina and circadian rhythms, ion channel (in particular, voltage gated sodium channel) physiology, and degenerative retinal disease. She hopes to pursue a career as a clinician-scientist with a focus on translational medicine following completion of her residency and PhD.

About Allison

Dr. Cleymaet graduated from University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She then pursued a rotating small animal internship at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, a private practice ophthalmology internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in New York, and an academic ophthalmology internship at CSU. She is currently a Comparative Veterinary Ophthalmology resident as well as a PhD candidate (retinal neuroscience) in the Jozsef Vigh Laboratory in CSU's Department of Biomedical Science. Clinical research interests include refractive error, retinal imaging, and ocular manifestations of systemic disease.
