About Heather

Heather grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she developed a love for horses and the outdoors. After graduation, she moved to Fort Collins where she studied equine sciences and microbiology at Colorado State University. Once receiving her bachelor's degree, she spent several years working as a veterinary technician in a variety of industries, ranging from shelter medicine to equine medicine and surgery. Heather returned to CSU where she received a Master of Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Animal Anatomical and Physiological Studies in 2020. She joined the CSU Equine Sports Medicine team as a technician. In her free time, Heather is an avid three-day event rider and enjoys photography and hiking with her border collie.
