About Ethan

Dr. Costain was raised in Denver and the surrounding mountains. He attended Colorado State University and obtained his undergraduate degree in biology in 2012. He then stayed at CSU and obtained his D.V.M. in 2016. After veterinary school, Dr. Costain took a position as a staff veterinarian in a busy small animal hospital in Denver, Colorado. Realizing his strong interest in anesthesia, Dr. Costain transitioned in 2017 from being a small animal veterinarian in Denver to being a staff veterinarian for the anesthesia department at the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital at CSU in Fort Colllins, CO. He has loved the opportunity to teach veterinary students and provide excellent after-hours anesthesia for the wide variety of animals that the hospital sees on a weekly basis. In his free time, Dr. Costain enjoys hiking, biking, and fly fishing with his two Labradors, his wife Louise, and his son Levi.
