Sloane HoblickVeterinary Intern, Equine Medicine Clinical Sciences
Dr. Sloane Hoblick has always had a love for horses and grew up riding, breeding, and training Appaloosas in scenic Moneta, Virginia. Dr. Hoblick earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 2020 while completing her certificate in Veterinary Business Management. While in veterinary school, she served as president of her student chapter of American Association of Equine Practitioners, was an active member of her student chapter of the Veterinary Business Management Association and worked on several research projects and case studies – including a case presentation she presented at the national American Association of Equine Practitioners Convention. After graduation, she completed an equine specialty internship at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma focused on equine surgery and sports medicine. From her experiences, she has developed a strong interest in equine surgery, sports medicine, and emergency and critical care, as well as a passion for educating and working with veterinary students. Following her year at CSU as an equine medicine & sports medicine intern, Dr. Hoblick will be pursuing an equine surgery residency and hopes to continue her career in academia following completion of her training. Outside of veterinary medicine, Sloane enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors hiking and kayaking with her husband Johnny, hanging out with her menagerie of poorly behaved pets including her dogs Zoey, Loa, and Milo, cats Toulouse and Butter, and her chickens, and occasionally getting to ride her horses Kizmit and Drifter. Dr. Hoblick could not be more excited to join the team at CSU!
